[Watch] Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor Live Streaming (2017) Online

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Fight Live Stream Still Has Hundreds of Unsold Tickets. Hundreds of tickets are reportedly still available for the Aug. 26 bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor Online Streaming.

According to the Associated Press' Tim Dahlberg, "a check online Saturday revealed hundreds—even thousands—of seats still available" firsthand on Ticketmaster after they were initially made available to the public Monday.

Based on the cost to get into T-Mobile Arena for the Las Vegas spectacle, that's not a major surprise.

As Dahlberg noted, the cheapest face-value ticket is $3,500, and that's not counting approximately $300 worth of fees associated with the purchase. Prices soar as high as $10,000 for ringside seats, with VIP "platinum" tickets clocking in just under $15,000.

Those astronomical rates have also contributed to some paltry secondhand-market sales.

"There's fairly little sales going on in general," SeatGeek.com content analyst Chris Leyden said, per Dahlberg. "I think a lot of it has to do with where prices are now. I think people are a little uncomfortable paying this much or maybe even more."

If the tickets do sell out, the fight should have a shot at breaking the record-setting $72,198,500 gate from Mayweather's 2015 fight against Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Garden Arena—which seats 16,800 compared to T-Mobile Arena's 20,000

Watch Mayweather vs McGregor (2017) Live Online Streaming

Media roundtable: MayMac World Tour, Mayweather vs. McGregor promotion, more. Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather come face to face in Los Angeles Live Stream. Esther Lin, Showtime.

The MayMac World Tour was a whirling dervish of an experience, a four-day, four-city, in-your-face carnival attraction. Those in attendance in Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and London were treated to once-in-a-lifetime experiences — the chance to see Floyd Mayweather, the greatest boxer of his generation, go toe to toe and word for word with Conor McGregor, the biggest star in UFC history.

There has been nothing quite like the MayMac World Tour and, for better or worse, may not be anything like it again. The spectacle (and language) was over the top. The promotional effort was pedal to the medal.

Now that it's all over and the dust has settled, let’s take a look back on the tour, the controversial moments and how the rambunctious, vulgar four days will impact interest in Mayweather vs. McGregor and more.

MMA Fighting asked five respected journalists — Greg Bishop of Sports Illustrated, Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, George Willis of the New York Post, Josh Gross of The Guardian and Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting — who were in attendance at one or more of the tour stops five questions about their experiences. The illuminating answers are below.

MMA Fighting: How was the MayMac World Tour viewed by your respective audiences? Are you seeing genuine excitement from fans? Or are most writing this off as not being a real fight even after the tour?

Iole: They ate it up. They were into it more than I could have ever imagined. I knew it would be big, but the level of engagement I saw with this was far more than I believed. There is a very vocal segment that calls it a bogus fight, refers to those who are interested in it as suckers and generally can’t understand the interest. But it is dwarfed by the much larger population. I get the sense from much of that audience that they understand this is more of a spectacle than a sporting competition and they just want to have fun watching the show. But no matter one’s perspective, the tour resonated significantly with our audience.

Bishop: I've seen a mixture of reaction but what stood out is how many people are interested in watching the fight and don't care whether myself or other boxing writers think it won't be particularly close. For every one comment I got that said the fighters had gone too far on the tour, or that this was a fake fight, I got 10-20 comments saying they were going to buy the fight and that Conor had more of a chance than most writers gave him. So I sensed more excitement than I expected to. I got that sense that people are willing to pay to see what might happen, even if their expectations aren't sky high.

Willis: There is genuine interest in the fight. Avid boxing fans, avid MMA fans and sports fans in general are intrigued by the fight and the two personalities. I think most view it as a novelty and not "a real fight" in terms of the traditional sense, but this being a pairing of the best MMA fighter against one of the greatest boxers of all time has people's attention.

Gross: MMA fans who watch McGregor fight seem invested. His supporters are obviously all-in, and that was felt at the world tour events. Casual fans are definitely on board. So there's genuine excitement for an event fight out there. That said, I think most people feel like this shouldn't be particularly competitive.

Helwani: I’m not one to look at traffic numbers all that much, but I definitely feel a genuine sense of excitement for this from our readers/viewers. It feels like a big event (of course, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, but you get the point), and we haven’t had the opportunity to cover many of those this year. In fact, I sense more interest in the fight since the tour than before it. I think seeing them face off and interact made the fight feel more real. I also think that because it’s just over a month away fans are choosing to ride this short summer wave because it won’t require much of an emotional investment in their time. It’s fun. It’s wacky. It’s a circus. That’s OK. Of course, there are some who say they aren’t interested, but I bet they will all watch come Aug. 26.

MMAF: The parties involved are selling hard that McGregor has a legitimate opportunity to win. Were you surprised how they played it up? Or do they not really have a choice in the matter? Also, does he stand any chance at all?

Helwani: Initially, it bugged me how Mayweather seemed to go out of his way to play up McGregor’s chances. It felt very disingenuous. However, he seemed to drop that once the tour started and left it up to Leonard Ellerbe to play that role. Personally, I think fans see through that. I’d rather Mayweather and his team tell us McGregor has no chance and they will prove once and for all that boxing is the superior combat sport. Stop trying to tell us about Mayweather’s age, brittle hands, tough training camp … with a smile. It doesn’t work. But I’m not surprised they went that route off the bat. I just think they should drop it at this point.

As for McGregor’s chances, here’s my theory: Everything McGregor has done since his UFC debut four years defies logic. The fact that he was able to make this fight happen defies logic. So why can’t this crazy story end in the craziest way possible? What more does this man have to do for us to believe he can do the impossible? Luckily, I’m not in charge of coming up with the game plan to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr., but I sure as heck am not counting him out.

Iole: I’m not surprised at all they’re selling the angle that Conor can win. If they don’t do that, this inches dangerously close to professional wrestling. They also realize there is a large segment of MMA fans who have never followed boxing and aren’t aware of the significant challenge that anyone who has never boxed faces when going against a world-class boxer. There is also an equally large segment of boxing fans who know nothing about MMA, who don’t like Mayweather and would love to see him get knocked out. The pitch to those folks becomes, ‘You don’t like Floyd? You hate the way he fights? Well, here is a guy who has great power, who comes to fight and who is much bigger.’ That will get them engaged.

As for whether Conor has a chance, I think very little and I don’t say that disrespectfully. I do think Conor’s movement will take Floyd longer than normal to figure out. He won’t move like a normal boxer, and there is little Floyd can do to prepare for that. Floyd is a genius in the ring and is brilliant at reading fighters and understanding what they’re going to do before they even know it. With Conor, I think it will take him a bit longer to figure him out. That said, Conor’s challenge is enormous. Everything is different for him, and everything is set to favor Mayweather. I believe Mayweather wins by a large margin. It is not impossible that Conor can land a punch that hurts Floyd and stops him, but the odds are hugely against it.

Gross: Some case has to be made that this is legitimate if you're asking and expecting fans to pay $100 to watch on pay-per-view. It's the fight promotion business, and many events have embellished the chances of one side of the fight in order to sell it. McGregor is a great fighter, which can't be ignored. This is boxing and McGregor is facing a master defensive technician and tactician. It would be shocking to watch McGregor beat Mayweather, but if anyone can beat Floyd it might just be a wildcard like Conor. That "what if" is all the case that needs to be made to get people to watch. I give McGregor a 2 percent chance of doing the miraculous.

Bishop: I wasn't surprised that that's the tact they took, although it was unusual to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Leonard Ellerbe in the odd position of telling everyone, repeatedly, over and over, how good their opponent is. I've seen Floyd compliment guys before. He does before most fights, in fact. But I've never seen him sell an opponent quite this hard.

This most stood out when Ellerbe met with writers before the New York presser. I've never in the 10 years I've covered Floyd seen Ellerbe talk that long. It felt some like a filibuster but mostly it came off like a last stand. What I saw was Ellerbe defending this fight and their right to choose it and Ellerbe defending Floyd's legacy and how this fits in. He wasn't angry. He didn't even raise his voice. But he spoke for 40 minutes and those were the kinds of things he talked about. He kept saying, "How many of y'all picked Jeff Horn?" (Which is a bad analogy, by the way, because Horn won that fight by the judges' scorecards only.)

As for McGregor's actual chance, I keep coming back to this: Floyd has beaten bigger fighters, older fighters, younger fighters. He's topped 17 world champions. He made Canelo Alvarez look slow. He made Shane Mosley look old. He's beaten, by my count, at least five future Hall of Famers. I don't see how with his defensive acumen and experience he'll allow McGregor to get in close enough to damage him. This is what we always see with Floyd, by the way. We convince ourselves for months that someone has the chance to beat him, and then when he wins a unanimous decision with a defensive style, the same people who "thought" he'd lose then cry about how his fights aren't exciting, or how he picked opponents. Well, this is different. But I see the outcome the same way. I've seen this movie too many times to think otherwise.

That said, when I was on McGregor's plane from Ontario to New Jersey, he left absolutely no doubt that he believes he can win. That's a good place to start from. As he is 28, bigger, longer, stronger ... ah, shoot, I'm doing it to myself again!

MMAF: Was the World Tour effective? Do you think it did what it was supposed to do, which is convince more people to plunk down $100 to watch on pay-per-view?
Willis: I question that. There is a large segment of fans that were going to buy the fight no matter what. Probably 2-3 million. The general sports fan may have been turned off by all the profanity and homophobic slurs uttered especially during the last three stops, though there's no real way of knowing this.

Helwani: I believe it was very effective. First of all, booking it during the slowest sports week of the year was brilliant. I didn’t think it would break the Mayweather-Pacquiao PPV record before it started, but I now think it will. The crowds who attended the press tours and watched at home shocked me. In fact, during the tour, my mom and brother made a bet on the fight. This fight transcends all fan bases. It is the classic barber shop fight. People are talking about in barber shops (and other places) all over the world right now. It’s just fun to discuss, debate and dissect. It will do monumental business next month and the tour only helped.

Gross: Yes it was certainly effective in generating press and percolating public attention. For good or for ill, the tour prompted media coverage that wouldn't normally come to boxing.

Bishop: I do think it was effective -- and more than I expected it to be. I remember turning to Dan Wetzel, the great Yahoo! Sports columnist, in Toronto and saying something to the effect of, "I know I'm supposed to hate this but I just don't." I found it wildly entertaining, particularly that night, which was the most interesting in my opinion of the four. I didn't really have any expectations going into the events. I figured that given the interest level and the personalities involved it would be worth at minimum seeing what the scene was like. It was way crazier than I expected. I shadowed Mayweather one day and McGregor another. There are so many personalities involved, so many outfits -- the mink coat, good Lord -- the stand-up routines, the way McGregor turned Showtime czar Stephen Espinoza into a secondary foil. Did I see any of this as a way to legitimize the fight? No. But I do think I can like it for what it is: an interesting spectacle and a fight worth checking out in August, regardless of expectation. As far as events go, you could do worse. Same for how you might spend $100. I spent more than that on paint for my fence yesterday.
MMAF: Did Mayweather and McGregor cross the line with their words? Or was this run-of-the-mill combat sports hype? Where exactly is the line when it comes to this kind of stuff?

Gross: In the regular world, yes, lines were crossed. But the expectation for anything above base discourse in combat sports doesn't exist so it won't matter. Concerns about Mayweather or McGregor playing down in the muck are overstated. McGregor treaded very dangerous water when he approached race. McGregor's comments were dumb and unfunny, and thus different from the way we've come to think of him. Mayweather's use of “f*ggot" was a low moment. Chalking it up to his ignorance and crassness doesn't excuse anything, it only puts his language in context considering everything else we know about him.

Bishop: I do think they crossed the line. And I think the tour sort of devolved as it went along. It felt more offensive in New York and even more offensive in London. I don't personally think you can excuse comments that are racist in nature or sexist in nature as just part of the show. I think that's not fair to all the boxers and MMA fighters who promote events without resorting to that kind of stuff, to paint them with that kind of brush. There are ways to convey those points without saying things like "dance for me, boy." What's difficult is what you allude to in the question. Where is the line? Who draws it? When someone like Espinoza is saying that it's gotta be hard for kids to watch some of this stuff, that's a fairly clear indicator in my mind that the tour eventually went off the rails. All of that only helps sell more buys, of course, which is why I think that ultimately they're happy with it, regardless of where things went sideways. And in my opinion, they did.

Helwani: I generally believe that all’s fair in love and fight promotion, but there’s always a line. Here’s the issue: the organizers asked a lot of them. To ask them to perform in front of thousands in attendance and millions at home for four straight days is a huge demand. And it wasn’t like they could recycle material. No, I guarantee the majority of people who attended Toronto watched LA, and those who attended Brooklyn watched Toronto. So come Brooklyn I believe they felt pressure to one up Toronto and themselves. That’s when things got a bit uncomfortable. And that’s not me condoning or excusing anything that was said. We all know both went too far at times, and that’s unfortunate. I wish they would keep race and sexuality out of this, because they don’t need to go there. I do think there’s a racial element to the intrigue in this fight, but it was not addressed in the right way last week. But again, tensions were very high and they were asked to come up with entertaining material on the fly. That’s not a good combo. In hindsight, I wish they altered the format after Toronto. Live and learn. I don’t think anything that was said will affect the buyrate in a negative way, though.

Willis: I think they crossed the line in New York and London. Look, you hear profanity in combat sports all the time, but the shouting and endless stream of B-words and F-bombs that escalated into homophobic slurs in New York and London was crossing the line. Talking about daughters and black women, is that really where MMA or boxing wants to go? It's kind of like pornography. You know it when you see it and we saw way too much of it during the last two stops of the Tour.

Iole: They did cross the line with their words and their is no excusing it or covering it up. There is no excuse to call someone a f*ggot. It’s despicable. It’s horrific to refer to an African-American as a monkey and a boy. The problem is the way the tour was set up. They’re on stage like performers in front of 11,000 or more people in each city and they felt like they had to put on a show. They didn’t know where to stop and they were offensive and outrageous to many people. It’s not OK to dismiss it as, “Oh, they’re fighters. What did you think they were going to do?” This is a professional sporting event that people bring their children to and it’s not a spot where racist, misogynist and homophobic statements should be thrown around as jokes.

MMAF: How do you think McGregor came across on this stage? Mayweather has been there, done that on many of these tours over the years. This was McGregor’s first one that got incredible mainstream attention. Did he come off well or lower his stock?

Iole: I think he’s written his name permanently into the mainstream consciousness. I thought he was terrific the first two days in the way he came across, even though some things came across a bit mean-spirited on Day 2. But I thought all in all, he was received well those first two days. The last two days, I think he hurt his image without question, particularly among people who haven’t been around him for as long as we have. But I think he did far better than Pacquiao in getting this fight off to a rousing start and he’s going to make it a massive show via his wit, force of personality and indomitable spirit.

Willis: I'm sure some people loved it. I thought he came across as scripted and with not much in his game other than acting crass. It gets old eventually.

Helwani: For better or worse, I think his stock is higher than ever. He had his viral moments, didn’t seem fazed and genuinely seemed happy to be a part of this experience. The buildup is his time to shine, and for the most part, I think he took advantage of the spotlight well.

However, the real story of the tour was Mayweather. He still got it. I thought McGregor was going to annihilate him in the trash-talking department, and while McGregor had his moments, no doubt, Mayweather was on point. For the most part, he seemed unflappable. McGregor tried to crack him, and I don’t think he did yet. That was very surprising. I loved that he turned back the clock 10 years to the Mayweather who fought De La Hoya and Hatton. We had not seen that guy for a while, and I didn’t think we ever would again. He returned last week, and that was a pleasant surprise.

Gross: From his best to his worst, McGregor showed several sides. He learned as he went on but by the end it came off like he thought he knew everything. Really the whole tour turned into pro wrestling. So as far as his stock goes, it gets a bump simply because more people know of him now. If he shows up Aug. 26 and puts on any kind of fight, the whole thing will have been a big boost to McGregor's fame. If he gets chopped up into little pieces and made to look bad by Mayweather, then there's risk he'll take a pretty serious ding.

Bishop: This was the biggest revelation I took out of the tour. McGregor as a showman was impressive. I didn't love everything he said and not all of his "jokes" landed. But friends I know who had covered him said you really don't know what it's like to be around him unless you are. I felt that in a visceral way. It was like someone said to me beforehand: an experience. Riding on his plane confirmed that. Dude has star-power unlike most athletes I've been around, and that charisma was obvious and prevalent throughout. Regardless of what happens here, I'll be watching him for a long time. Watch Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor (2017) Live Stream [Online]

When is Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor? Live Fight Stream date, time, prediction and all you need to know. Mayweather vs McGregor fight undercard: The names confirmed so far

The pair will do battle on August 26 Getty Images

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor's verbal battle is over for now and attention has turned to what is set to be the highest-earning fight of all time.

Mayweather drew a record 4.6million pay-per-view purchases for his fight with Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and his battle with McGregor will almost certainly top that.

McGregor - the biggest name in UFC - has vowed to knockout undefeated boxer Mayweather, and boldly had a giant mural depicting his triumph drawn up across his training gym wall.

Mayweather, however, says he would "run the UFC" and scoffed at McGregor's knockout claims, firing a warning about his "granite chine".

DATE AND START TIME

The fight is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, though it will likely begin in the UK around 4am on Sunday, August 27. The 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will host the fight.

LIVE COVERAGE

Showtime are in talks with both Sky Sports and ITV over the UK broadcast rights for the fight between Mayweather and McGregor.

Showtime's HD package will cost viewers in the US $99.95.

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

The stage is set for McGregor's first professional boxing fight, with the MMA fighter set to switch the Octagon for the ring and adopt boxing rules.

Both fighters will wear boxing gloves and the use of legs, which is common in UFC, is banned.

The bout will be 12 rounds of three minutes, should it go the distance.

WHAT THEY SAID

Speaking about their recent four-leg international media tour, McGregor said: "The tour became a verbal battle that people were scoring and I didn't anticipate it being so back and forth.

"If we are going to score it then f*** it, let's do that - I smoked him on all four rounds.

"LA was a 10-9, my suit went viral, Toronto was a wipeout 10-7 because he was dropped twice.

"I won New York and then here I smoked him again. For a 40-year-old man he has his childish ways and that's amusing. This is a ruthless business and I am ruthless."

"They call that jealousy. It comes with the territory. This is big for both MMA and the boxing world. This is huge," Mayweather said.

"Every MMA guy is trying to fight a boxer. A fight like this can only happen once in a lifetime. This is a very, very big event.

"It took more than just myself to make this fight happen, but to make a fight of this magnitude happen I had to be involved." News Source

Watch Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor Fight Live Stream Online

Check out the (underwhelming?) 2nd official Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight poster. Showtime has released a second official poster for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match. McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) and Mayweather (49-0 boxing) face off on Aug. 26 Live Stream at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a pay-per-view event expected to be the most lucrative prize fight of all time.

For a once-thought-to-be-only-fantasy showdown that has generated a massive amount of buzz and is coming off the madness of a promotional world tour, this new poster is a little underwhelming, don’t you think?

I don’t know what I was expecting exactly. I wasn’t even expecting a second poster after the first one to be honest. It looks fine; it’s just basic. Seems like an event of this magnitude deserves more than a “basic” promotional poster.

Perhaps MMAjunkie’s Mike Bohn summed it up perfectly:

Watch-Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor Live Stream ONLINE

What is the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor purse and how prize money will the winner get? The fight is expected to smash current PPV live stream records and is expected to become the most lucrative event in the history of combat sport.

Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas super-fight with Conor McGregor is now just weeks away.

The contest has dominated the sporting headlines worldwide and has fight fans counting down the days until August 26 – but not everybody from the boxing world is happy with the bout.

A number of high-profile personalities from the sport have attacked the fight, claiming that it diminishes Mayweather’s legacy and is bad for boxing’s image.

But there is of course one key reason for why both Mayweather and McGregor have agreed to meet one another in the ring: money.

The fight stands to become the most lucrative in the history of combat sports, with both men expected to earn over $100m for agreeing to the bout.

But what is the estimated fight purse? What will the split be? And how much is the contest likely to make though PPV (pay-per-view) sales?
Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor: Trash talk in 60 seconds

Here, we tell you everything you need to know about the most lucrative fight in history.

What is the estimated fight purse?

Estimates vary, and largely depend on whether the fight meets its PPV targets or not. But after an explosive, controversial and — ultimately — successful four-stop promotional tour, that is beginning to look like a given.

The total figure depends more on the PPV sales, however. Ticket sales also need to be factored in, as well as how much sponsorship is sold for.

But, if the PPV stays roughly in line with the Mayweather v Pacquaio fight, the fight purse is likely to be worth around $390m (£300m). Total revenues are meanwhile expected to exceed $500m (£390m).

The fight is expected to break current PPV records (Getty)

What will the split be?

We’ll never know! The two men signed a confidentiality agreement when they signed their contracts, meaning the exact split will not be revealed.

We know that Mayweather is getting more however, with estimates ranging in the 70-75% region.

Boxing Kingdom were one of the first sites to put their neck on the line with a more specific prediction, with Mayweather slated to make $400m (£307m) from the fight, and McGregor $127m (£98m). That’s a lot, but the split ratio could well be in that rough region.

White has admitted that Mayweather is the A-side (Getty)

When Dana White spoke in April, he (understandably) predicted Mayweather would make a lot less. “If the fight sells as well as I think it can, Floyd makes a little north of $100 million and Conor makes $75 million,” White said.

“He (Mayweather) feels like he’s the A-side and he should get more of it.”

That seems a conservative guess: when Mayweather defeat Pacquaio he waltzed off into the sunset with a $240m pay-cheque, according to Forbes. His earnings for this fight will surely exceed that.

How much will the fight make through PPV?

The PPV sales for Mayweather v Pacquaio made an extraordinary $455m. Expect this fight to surpass that.

Mayweather v Pacquiao will be surpassed by the McGregor fight (Getty)

The PPV price in the States is hefty: the standard definition purchase of the August 26 fight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will set fans back $89.95, with the high-definition version costing $99.95.

It’s currently predicted that Mayweather v McGregor will attract just under 5 million buys, which would see the total PPV sales at a figure in the region of $475m.

How much will the tickets make?

The fight will be held at the 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas — and tickets don’t come cheap.

The total ticket receipts for the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight totalled $79.1m (£61m). 16,219 tickets were sold at the MGM Arena — which is slightly smaller than the T-Mobile Arena — at an average price of $4,451 (£3419) each. Each!

Expect the Mayweather v McGregor fight to gross a very similar amount. The fight doesn’t have the sporting pedigree of the Pacquiao fight, but it does have the novelty factor. And novelty sells in Paradise, Nevada.

Any other business?

The asking price for the title sponsor of this fight has already been set, at a cool $10m (£7.7m). That amount would almost double the current record for boxing’s largest single-fight sponsorship which was — you guessed it — Mayweather v Pacquaio. Tecate paid $5.6m (£4.3m) to sponsor that one.

All in all, this fight can expect to attract more money from sponsors than the Pacquaio bout. Don’t be surprised if the fight attracts almost $25m (£19m) in support.

And then there’s the merchandise. ESPN predicts that the fight could rake in another $2m (£1.5m) through merch alone, thanks to the popularity of the two men. News Source

{Watch} Conor vs Mayweather Live Stream Online

What is the prize money for McGregor vs Mayweather and how much of the purse will the winner get? Boxing purists may be shying away from the thought of Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor, but you can expect the money to be rolling in over the next couple of months.

'Money' Mayweather has been more than happy to flaunt his wealth over the years, posting pictures of wads of cash on show.

His bout with Manny Pacquiao in May 2015 broke pay-per-view records, bringing in more than 4.5million purchases at an average of $99 cost. TV revenue alone is thought to have passed $400million (£309million).

Mayweather is believed to have earned at least $180million from that fight alone.

So what for Mayweather-McGregor? Will it break records, and what can each fighter earn?

What is the estimated fight purse?

The figure depends on a number of different variables, including pay-per-view sales, pricing structure in the UK, ticket sales and more.

If PPV revenue stays in line with the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout, the fight purse is likely to be worth some $300million, with total revenues at $500million (£385million).

What will the split be?

A confidentiality agreement means the exact split will not be revealed. However, reports suggest the difference could be 70-30 or 75-25 in Mayweather's favour.

What is the fight expected to make in pay-per-view terms?

It depends on whether the US broadcasters charge viewers up to $100 once again. If they do, then $400million and more is not out of the question, especially if Conor McGregor's trash talking ramps up. Additionally, the potential audience could be even wider still with McGregor attracting a huge following.

A TV deal with a UK broadcaster has not yet been struck, with negotiations ongoing.

How much money will the tickets make?

The fight will take place in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which has a capacity of around 20,000. Tickets are selling at a premium, with ringside seats going for between £18,000 and £30,000. Even those in the upper tier of the arena are going for more than £2,000.

Ticket receipts for Mayweather-Pacquiao totaled around £70million. With just under two months to go until the fight, interest is expected to grow further and is likely to get close to the figure of the 2015 bout.

What are the estimated earnings for each fighter?

With the estimated revenues and splits in mind, $230 million for Mayweather and $70million for McGregor is not out of the question. Pay-per-view sales could change that figure. News Source

Mayweather vs McGregor: Conor McGregor says he will change face of boxing by beating Floyd Mayweather. Conor McGregor says he will change the face of boxing by knocking out Floyd Mayweather. Conor McGregor has told Sky Sports News live stream HQ he will change the face of boxing by beating online Floyd Mayweather.

The Mixed Martial Arts supremo was in a confident and cheerful mood in front of a full SSE Wembley Arena on Friday evening, on the last leg of the World Press Tour for their August 26 fight Live Stream.

McGregor, who was celebrating his 29th birthday, had the crowd behind him and made it clear that he will not only beat Mayweather but replace him as the sport's biggest star.

"I'm going to change the face of the game the same way I have for Mixed Martial Arts," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I'm going to change the way fighting is approached."

After mocking Mayweather's dress sense for the fourth time in as many press events promoting the fight, McGregor turned on 'Money' and adviser Leonard Ellerbe with some typically brash words of warning.

"I am boxing," he said.

"I've got to be real, when his [Mayweather's] legacy is destroyed in six weeks' time, it will fall on you [Leonard Ellerbe] and Mayweather Sr's shoulders.

"He could've rode off into the sunset at 49-0. Instead, this is my first time in a boxing ring and in six weeks' time... I run boxing.

"How did they let me ride in here? They got greedy, that's what."

McGregor was in fine form at Wembley Arena

McGregor then strolled past Mayweather and patted him on the head, to roars of laughter from the Wembley crowd.

The 29-year-old went on to mock Mayweather's "high heel" shoes, while the American sat patiently before getting his turn in the boxing ring.

Mayweather's response began with the familiar 'Hard Work' chant, only for the crowd to start booing with a chorus of 'Same Old, Same Old'.
'Money' went through his 21-year routine as McGregor sat at the press conference table with his feet up.

During the news conference, Mayweather accused McGregor of using racist language before directing a homophobic slur at the Irishman.

He did, though, suggest that he wants to add a fifth and final stop on the tour - and head to McGregor's homeland of Ireland on Saturday.

Mayweather suggested he "owned Ireland" but it was soon drowned out by the crowd, leaving him to try and win some friends back by singing McGregor happy birthday.

Mayweather tried to sing 29-year-old McGregor 'Happy Birthday'

McGregor said he will enjoy his birthday with his girlfriend and his son before returning to Las Vegas where his preparations for the bout will intensify.

"It's been a crazy couple of days but enjoyable," he added. "I've enjoyed every stop and every one was uniquely different.

Watch Conor McGregor tell the Wembley crowd that he can barely believe he will be taking part in 'the biggest fight in boxing history'

"It was like we had become something other than prizefighters and it has been enjoyable but it's good to get back to doing what we do best.

"I am a prize fighter at the end of the day and I am the best prizefighter there is.

"We'll be fighting up until the night of the fight and on the night of the fight I'm going to shock the whole damn world."

Conor McGregor fuelled accusations of racism in New York on Thursday night as he faced off against Floyd Mayweather in the latest leg of their world press tour for next month's much-anticipated bout.

The fighters had confronted each other in Los Angeles and Toronto this week to promote their Las Vegas boxing match on August 26, with the Irishman stirring anger by telling Mayweather to “Dance for me, boy.”

Addressing the crowd in Brooklyn, McGregor said: "All of the media seem to be saying I'm against black people... Do they not know I'm half black? I'm half black from the belly button down."

One New York Times journalist commented: "Conor McGregor gave it his all but white guys still have yet to connect on the 'i’m not racist but' explanation."

McGregor, one of the biggest stars in mixed-martial arts, was clearly the fan favourite on Wednesday in Canada but quickly lost the crowd with his comments in Brooklyn.

Mayweather, for his part, produced some theatrics to live up the event, showering McGregor with dollar bills.

But both fighters and their promoters were booed  at the Barclays Centre as the pair appeared to run out of fresh insults.

McGregor had bragged about the quality of his suits at the first two stops in Los Angeles and Toronto, but emerged sporting floral trousers and a robe he repeatedly claimed was polar bear fur.

Mayweather, who brandished a cheque for 100million US dollars in LA and in Canada carried out a backpack with a wad of cash in it, took to draping himself in an Irish flag for the second evening running.

The American was received with more chants of "pay your taxes" - in reference to reports he has asked the Internal Revenue Service for more time to settle his 2015 tax bill.

But the crowd also turned on McGregor, who in a bizarre rant took aim not only at Mayweather's financial situation but also rapper 50 Cent.

The mixed martial arts star finished by saying: "To come back here, where I made history, became the first fighter in history to win two UFC titles simultaneously.

"Thanks to you all, I'm blown away by the support."

The Irishman, who at times during the earlier stops had appeared to get under Mayweather's skin, had no such luck in Brooklyn, where the American ignored the jibes and took selfies while McGregor barked in his ear.

Mayweather, who retired in 2015 with a perfect 49-0 record and having held world titles at five different weights, then responded by ridiculing McGregor for submitting in three of his 24 MMA contests.

"(He) didn't quit once, (he) didn't quit twice, (he) quit three time," Mayweather screamed with another volley of profanity.

The 40-year-old then asked for the music to come on before labelling McGregor "a stripper" and throwing dollar bills over him.

The pair are scheduled to finish their media tour at SSE Wembley Arena at 7pm on Friday.

While boxing purists have denounced the fight as nothing more than a laughable cashgrab it has nonetheless captured the fascination of many fight fans.

The fight would seem an outlandish mismatch with Mayweather 49-0 stepping into the ring against McGregor, who will be making his professional boxing debut.

However,  McGregor recalled similar predictions before he beat Jose Aldo to win the UFC featherweight title in late 2015.

"They said the same things then as they're saying now," he said.

"They said I had no chance. They said I'm in over my head. They said he kicks too hard. Too many weapons. The Irishman is going to fall short, he doesn't stand a hope. News Source

Floyd vs McGregor Live Stream (Online)

Mayweather vs McGregor: Tony Bellew on the first meeting between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor Live Stream. Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor Live Stream Online have come face-to-face in Los Angeles ahead of their August super-fight. Tony Bellew has been the master when it comes to entertaining, emotional and controversial press conferences, so we got his take on the first encounter between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor...

It's very hard to give speeches at press conferences. You'd rather be asked questions and elaborate with your answers. I know how he felt but he will get more comfortable
First impressions

It was funny, that's for sure. But I think it's definitely been contracted that McGregor can't touch Floyd in any way, shape or form, it's off. I am a keen watcher of UFC and I have never - and I mean never - seen McGregor get so close to somebody and not put his hands on them. I also think he is not allowed to speak over Floyd and we saw that when he was sat down and tried to say something but the microphone wasn't on.

McGregor's performance

I think he froze a bit, to be fair. I've seen him do that a bit before and I can certainly relate to that because it's very hard to give speeches at press conferences. You'd rather be asked questions and elaborate with your answers. I know how he felt but he will get more comfortable, believe me.

Mayweather's performance

Floyd looked apprehensive as well, but we all know what Floyd is going to do. Walking up and down the stage, those long pauses were very well scripted for him, whereas McGregor's was straight off the cuff.

Highlight

As I said it was funny and McGregor always makes people laugh, but his suit was brilliant. I am sure you've looked at it closely to see what it says, so I won't repeat it. He is TV gold, he really is.

Low point

I don't get the cheque. We know how much he's made - in excess of $800m. We know he's a $100m fighter, but we don't really care. All we want to see is Floyd open up and give Conor McGregor something back. I am not sure about the gloves issue as well. I am pretty sure this is only the second time he has fought in 10oz gloves, the rest have been in 8oz. Sometimes Floyd says things and they never make sense!
Who won the first round

I don't think anyone won last night. We will see that after the fourth one, but I've got this one down as a draw.
Who won the first round

I don't think anyone won last night. We will see that after the fourth one, but I've got this one down as a draw.

What can we expect next?

Something unpredictable. We know Conor does that but I am expecting Floyd to come out with something as well. We aren't talking about a slap or a shove, but something like a bottle of water or something like that, will be there. News Source

@Watch@ Floyd vs Conor Live Stream *HD* Online. Mayweather vs McGregor Live Stream Online tickets on sale with ringside seats costing $79,000. If you want to see Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor live, you better be ready to pay some serious money.

@Watch@ Floyd vs Conor Live Stream *HD* Online Picture

Want to see how the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing superfight on August 26th plays out live? It's gonna cost you. Ticket prices for the event are now up on Stubhub, and it lists the price for nosebleed tickets at a whopping $2166. Seats for the first bowl are going for $5450, while premium floor seating would run you an astounding $20,000 to $79,000 for ringside seats.

Keep in mind though that Stubhub is a secondary market site, and tickets for the event are still not officially on sale. Late last month, Dana White cautioned fans to watch out for fake vendors who were already putting tickets up for sale on scalper sites.

"A fan told me he bought tix already," White wrote. "I want ALL fans to know that we have not even come up with a price for tix yet and tix ARE NOT for sale yet. Don't get fucked by These DIRTBALLS trying to sell tix already. When we announce tix on sale that's when it's real."

Tickets probably aren’t on sale yet because there's still a small detail to be cleared up: the Big3 basketball tournament being held in the building on the same date hasn't officially been moved yet. And while Dana White has made assurances with the media that a deal will get done, it's a bit disconcerting that Big3 tickets continue to be sold at the official T-Mobile Arena box office site.

Still, this is less ticket drama than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, where only a handful of tickets were released a mere two weeks before the fight, leaving thousands of fight fans who had already booked trips to Vegas without a way to watch the fight live. News Source

The truth about Conor McGregor's boxing skills from the sparring partners that he has faced...

Follow on Twitter & Instagram

Van Heerden said: Does he have boxing skills? Yes he does. I was surprised. We moved around throwing punches but we weren't trying to take each other's heads off. For an MMA fighter, Conor has some real boxing skills.

His counter left hand caught me once or twice, before I figured it out. That's his best punch because he's got good timing. But he keeps his whole head in front of his body, and you can't do that against Mayweather. I assume they will work on that.

He told me that he was an amateur boxer, and I could see that, because he knows what he's doing. I thought at that point: If McGregor focuses on only boxing for six months he will shock a lot of people. He needs to focus on moving his feet and throwing punches in combinations.

Conor is a cool guy - nothing but respect. He's very humble and it was a pleasure to work with him. I sparred him when he was preparing for a rematch with Nate Diaz [last year], because I'm also a tall southpaw. This was the time that the McGregor-Mayweather talk started.

Tiernan Bradley

Six-time Irish amateur champion

Follow on Twitter & Instagram

Bradley said: He's got the power to knock Mayweather out. The likes of Gennady Golovkin have explosive power in their punches but Conor has consistent power in every single punch from the first moment to the end of the fight.

You can see in Conor's style that he was a boxer before he was an MMA fighter. He doesn't move like a boxer, but he can keep up the pace that he uses in MMA. He's in and out for 12 full rounds - he does not tire. He's very consistent, very powerful and very unpredictable. His MMA background helps him.

Conor is very smart in the ring - he's smarter than people give him credit for. He's faster at reading things than I am. He's always aware of what's coming.

I would normally box as a counter-puncher, like Mayweather. I've got fast feet. I usually hold my hands below my chin in a Philly guard. But I'm not here to replicate Mayweather, I'm here to push Conor in sparring. They told me not to change my usual style. They said: 'box however you want to box'.

It's a massive compliment to be asked to train with him before the Mayweather fight. If people see me box they would be shocked.

Louis Adolphe

Welterweight (6-0)

Follow on Facebook & Instagram

Adolphe said: When I got in the ring with Conor, in my head, I underestimated his skills. He shocked me. I've had a great amateur background but he shocked me. I was surprised by the level that he's at. The public will be shocked at what they see.

Conor is a scientist when it comes to this sport. His overall movement and skills were of a very high level.

They asked me to be myself, but at the end of the day, I'm here to help Conor. If I get a chance to replicate what Floyd may do, I will do what I can - but overall, I'm myself. I've got a lot of speed and I'm a thinking fighter. The thing that's closest to Mayweather is my build (we're a similar height) and my speed.

Floyd Mayweather has been dragged out of retirement for a boxing fight against UFC legend Conor McGregor.

It will be free to get in to witness the two go face-to-face for the first time since the announcement that rocked the world of sport first came out.

A stage will be erected at one end of the pitch.

The two athletes will then be jet-setting around the world to stoke up the fires ahead of the mouthwatering clash in Las Vegas in August.

Mayweather is coming out of retirement at the age of 40 to take on the most famous name in UFC next month.

And the legendary boxer has been adding a number of new features to his training programme – including using Cryotherapy.

The veteran’s body naturally takes longer to recover from a workout the older he gets.

That has led to him using Cryotherapy to help him recover from the physical abuse he puts himself through in the gym.

It helps the body to reset and recharge while freezing it to 216 degrees below freezing.

That is almost 100 degrees colder than the lowest natural temperature ever recorded on the planet.

Mayweather has also been seen taking yoga classes as he prepares his body to take on the 28-year-old McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena on August 26 in Las Vegas.

“The Money” has already patented a string of ‘50-0’ trademarks to earn off the new record he looks certain to set on August 26 in the Las Vegas showdown.

Another victory will take him to half a century of wins and beyond the iconic milestone set by boxing legend Rocky Marciano.

Watch McGregor vs Mayweather Jr Live Stream Free [Online]

Watch McGregor vs Mayweather Jr Live Stream Free Online. Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor when is the fight, where will it be held and what are the odds.

Watch McGregor vs Mayweather Jr Live Stream Free [Online] Picture 1

loyd Mayweather Jr. will come out of retirement to meet UFC star Conor McGregor in a much-anticipated boxing match that will feature two of the top-selling fighters in the world.

The two fighters both announced the fight after months of speculation about whether Mayweather would be lured back to the ring at the age of 40 to face a mixed martial arts fighter who has never had a pro boxing fight.

Here's everything you need to know about the fight.
When will it take place?

The event will take place on Saturday, August 26. While the times haven't been announced, it will certainly be a late night or very early start for viewers in the UK.

Where will it be held?

The bout will take place at the T-Mobile arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The venue has held major fights in the past, including UFC 202, in which McGregor beat Nate Diaz on points.
How can I watch it?

Details are still to be confirmed but the fight will be a pay-per-view event, organised by Showtime Sports.

The price has not been decided, though it is expected to be at or near the $99.95 charged for Mayweather's 2015 fight with Manny Pacquiao that drew a record 4.4 million pay-per-view buys.

"This is really an unprecedented event," said Stephen Espinoza, who heads Showtime Sports. "Really we haven't seen anything in modern history that resembles it, it's impossible to predict how many sales this will do."

Watch McGregor vs Mayweather Jr Live Stream Free [Online] Picture 2

What are their records?

Mayweather retired in 2015 with an unblemished 49-0 professional boxing record.

He is widely regarded as one of the best defensive fighters ever, and prides himself on his ability to evade punishment with his skillful movement about the ring while making adjustments against opponents on the fly.

A win for Mayweather would move him ahead of former heavyweight great Rocky Marciano, who also retired with a perfect 49-0 career record.

McGregor, the UFC's reigning lightweight champion and former featherweight champion, is known as much for his bravado as for his explosive knockout power inside an MMA octagon.

The 28-year-old Irishman became the first UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in New York last November for the lightweight championship.

The UFC stripped McGregor of his featherweight belt shortly after that fight when he announced he would be taking some time off after he and long-time partner Dee Devlin had their first baby in May.

Known for his devastating striking and highlight-reel knockouts, McGregor is also quick and irrational on his feet, but few would back him to beat one of the most complete boxers of all time.

What are the rules?

The fight will be held under boxing rules, presenting a huge challenge for mixed martial artists McGregor as he faces off against one of the greatest defensive boxers in history.

Adding to McGregor's challenge, the fighters will be using 10-ounce boxing gloves instead of the smaller UFC gloves and he will not be allowed to use the leg kicks or takedowns that are used in mixed martial arts.

McGregor will weigh in at 154 pounds, UFC president Dana White told ESPN.

What are the odds?

Oddsmakers immediately predicted a Mayweather win. William Hill put the veteran fighter at 11-1 favourite.

Oddsmaker Nick Bogdanovich said the odds would be even more lopsided if it wasn't for the deluge of small bets expected to come in from UFC fans on their fighter.

"Realistically if we were just putting up a number and didn't have to take bets on it, Floyd would be 100-1," Bogdanovich said. "But this will be a very, very big betting fight for sure, one of the biggest ever."

What have they said?

Floyd Mayweather Jr

The boxing great said in May that "it's the only fight that makes sense (for me). When Floyd Mayweather fights, it's history".

"The only thing I am chasing is my own records. And I mean pay-per-view records. We have to give the people what they want to see. The fans demand that fight; we have to give them what they want to see to make them happy."

In an interview with the Telegraph in  March, Mayweather said: "The difference between me and him is this: He has to fight. If I was him and I was smart, before I lose again in the UFC I'd let Floyd Mayweather kick my a** for a lot of money. It makes business sense.

"This guy said I'm a p***y, I'm scared, I'm a chicken. All 49 said the same thing and all the results were the same.

"When I was a young fighter I could brag and boast and say I'm going to take his a** and do this and that. I'm Floyd Mayweather. But once I reached the top I didn't have anything to say."

Conor McGregor

The Irishman stole the headlinesafter his compatriot Michael Conlan's winning debut as a professional boxer in March.

"Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that," McGregor told the media. "Watch me step in and shock the whole damn world. I'm 28, a confident m----r f----r, long, rangy, dangerous with both hands. Believe me, I'm going to step in there and knock out Floyd (Mayweather) and you're all going to eat your words. I am boxing."

Watch McGregor vs Mayweather Jr Live Stream Free [Online] Picture 4

In an interview with GQ this year, he said: "He's 40 years of age. He's a little…he's got a little head on him. Honestly, my fist is bigger than his head. I sleep people. I put people unconscious. I'm stating facts. If I hit that man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers. You understand that? If I crack that little head of his, it's gonna go clean off his shoulders and up into the bleachers.

Shortly after the fight was announced, White told ESPN: "I talked to Conor McGregor this morning. He is absolutely, 100 percent positive that he wins this fight." News Source
